Yea, a day off...oh I have to cook a turkey...again

Well girls and boys (and those confused).

It is once a again going to be Thanksgiving day. Contrary to what someone in my neighborhood thinks, yes we pagans too do celebrate Thanksgiving (it is not, I repeat not, a religious holiday). Okay, maybe for turkeys...but they don't count. They just need to sit in the oven and shut up. Nothing worse than a chatty turkey.

Yes, one of my more confused and hateful neighbors actuyally asked if Jewish and Muslim people actually celebrated Thanksgiving because "it is a religious holiday". That is all I'm going to say about that. Sometimes people should just stop talking when they are ahead.

Maybe the Indians at the first Thanksgiving dinner were Christian, but I really, really doubt it. I'm pretty sure that Thjanksgiving was mostly about "hey we didn't starve this year".

People scare me. She scares me, and I don't scare easily.

I'm sure she means well, okay, well I'm not sure she means well, but I'm trying to give this poor, confused, naive girl the benefit of a doubt.

I do so amuse myself sometimes.

Anyway, I have taken the day off to prepare for the influx of family and family-in-laws. Goddess help me, I'm hosting again and, yes, voluntarily. Better to wage war on your own turf. Home field advantage.

I think I need to go brine the turkey now. More later.

Do Jewish and Muslim people celebrate Thanksgiving? That's priceless.

Happy Thanksgiving!
