Love

Everyone deserves to be loved. I mean not just wanted or needed, but truly loved.

Putting the question of what is love aside.

Why do we settle for less than we actually deserve?

Why would anyone ever settle for someone who says, "I will never love you, but I do want you and I do need you"?

Don't we all deserve someone who looks at us in that special way and who has that special excitement when we come in the door?

And by all means I do know that the "special" feeling does not happen everyday and is a much rarer thing as time goes by, but, if two people do still love each other, then it does still happen occasionally. Moments when you least expect it. Moments when you feel that rare surge of happiness that that person is in your life and will be going home with you, or will crawl into your bed at the end of the day, or even that they are there by your side (on your side).

Why would you settle for someone who will never feel that for you? Someone who wil ultimately alwasy be dreaming of someone else. Someone who might one day get their dream and you will be left out in the cold, or worse they will stay with you out of obligation. Is it that they think that time will change things? That eventually they will come to love them?

Don't they realize that the gut feeling you get when you meet that "someone" is really all that love is eventually? Is it? Or am I just crazy?

Sigh.

Of course your're crazy which is one reason you're so fun! But I agree whole-heartedly.
