Well,
My strange fascination with Russia has risen again. I rented this very strange and yet delightful Russian horror movie (not really all that horrifying) Night watch. I can't find a copy of the sequel (Day Watch) with English subtitles yet though. But it is supposed to be coming.
I would really like to start Russian classes and the local college, unfortunately I need the time and the energy to juggle one more thing before I can. I don't want to start and then stop. I've been thinking of learning Russian for 3-4 years now. It just strikes me as an interesting language and culture.
I've been warned of the food though. And from what I've had with good reason I have not had "Russian" per se, but I have had some foods from nearby countries which were once upon a time part of what was the USSR. (I think that's right...I'm not very good with history and names. So please forgive any mistakes.) Anyway, lots of unrecognizable meat.
Anyway, Clif is now feeding the curiosity by saying we could learn passable Russian and visit Moscow or ST. Petersburg. HHMMMM.
But for now, I have to get through the 24 hour flights to and from Australia without getting paranoid or airsick or claustrophobic or any liquids.
