Gardening time is here

Sigh.

It seems to be officially summer here. 70's and 80's most days with birds and insects happily flitting about. It's nice to run and break a sweat again. I have planted two Don Juan roses that are comming along nicely. I've managed to move my millions of house plants outside and now can walk through my house again.

I also have a swath of petunias and snapdragons. My elephant ears have not come up yet (i'm growing concerned), and my irises seem confused.

I have two other roses that aren't as happy, but I think its lack of direct sunlight.

This is my refuge from work and life. I dig in the dirt and reaffirm my connection to the planet and the goddess.

Then I fill my bird feeders and watch the masses swarm. They drive the cats crazy. It's fun.

I have a growing desire for a small greenhouse and have begun to hatch plans for a small part of the yard. Not that there's much of a yard to begin with. But for now this will do.
